Bleach the stars!

A DIY all stars sneakers transformation you will love!

This was my old favorite pair of All Stars in classic black color. Through the years they started to get that vintage look…but I wanted more. More fashion, more color, more sparkle…So I decided to "play" with some studs, bleach detergent and color…

So girls, instead of looking at the stars…you can make them rock and bleached!

Photo 1
This was the initial look of my shoes...

Photo 2
I bought some studs from my local H&M store but you can find them also online.

Photo 3
You will need a bleach detergent, an old paint brush and some colors. I used acrylic paint colors.

Photo 4

With my paintbrush I made random strokes on the shoes with the bleach detergent.

Photo 5

To get faster results I used a hairdryer for 2 minutes and the change of fabric color started to appear.

Photo 6 - 7
It is really easy to place the studs. You will need a pliar to secure the back sharp angle. It takes only one minute.

Photo 8

Tap the paint and make some paint splashes. I chose a bright blue colour but you can choose the one you prefer.

Photo 9

The final result!! I love the combination of the rock chic and militaire look! So grab your old All Stars and transform them into unique handmade shoes!

Good luck!

The lost earring project

It used to be one of my favorite pair of earrings. On a summer trip and while I was leaving a Greek island called Paros I lost the one of my pair... I kept it in my drawer and one day I decided that I wanted to wear it again! As a necklace of course! I used a lace from an old shirt and some flashy stones...I think with a bit of imagination and refashion mood you can do it too! Give your one earring a chance to "live" again...

Photo 1

I placed the earring on the necklace making a V shape. I used elastic metallic thread to avoid sewing.

Photo 2

With some flashy, old stones my imagination started working.

Photo 3

The scissors helped me cut a piece of elastic, metallic thread to start "sewing" my stones.

Photo 4

I passed the thread through the holes of the stones to secure the stones in the position I wanted. At the back I made a knot using a small plier.

I stitched a satin ribbon to hold the necklace and that's it! I hope you like it...

See you soon,

So chic handmade necklaces!

To be honest I've never expected that a necklace made out of tights, zippers and ribbons would be so elegant and easy to make! My sister made these 3 nice necklaces long time ago. Well done, sis!

  I hope you like them!

A bit of skirt!

This fashionable skirt once used to be a blouse! I was about to give it away but I decided to give it a shot as a skirt!

Its fabric was ideal for a loose and stylish skirt in stripes, which by the way I adore… I simply cut the blouse under the neck drop and kept the elastic part. It didn’t take me more than 15 minutes to stitch the waist hem and the skirt was ready!
Tip: I kept the upper part of the blouse (with the sleeves) for a future project! Stay tuned…
And don’t forget…Open your closet and start refashioning now!!

Old Sweatshirt Refashion!

This old and boring sweatshirt has turned into a trendy outfit!

In the photo no. 1 you can see how the sweatshirt looked like before the makeover. I cut the rib from the bottom hem, around the sleeves and neck and then turn the sweatshirt inside out!

The zippers added a new fresh look to my sweatshirt. The zippers cost me 2,70euros! I think I like it more like this…what do you think?

Here is my sister with the brand new sweatshirt!!
